Earth Hour Moment
I was at a friend’s wedding reception when the whole world goes dark for earth hour. There’s a moment where all the lights were switched off leaving only few candles on the bride’s table. Instead of earth hour, I called it earth minutes..

I went to the function with my wife, leaving our kids home with their auntie. At home, earth hour campaign only lasted half an hour. Why? Even with no lights, kids were running here and there, jumping & hiding around the house joyfully as if the lights were on. My sister in law couldn’t stand it and turned on the lights. I think my kids have special ability – super night vision! hahaha!

VOTE EARTH!
Budeen.com hereby expresses its support towards VOTE EARTH! campaign which will be held exactly 1 week from now…
For those who haven’t heard this, it’s the world’s first global election between Earth and Global Warming. We could all take part by simply switching on/off our lights for 1 hour on March 28, 2009.
“Switching off your lights is a VOTE FOR EARH, or leaving them on is a vote for global warming. That simple!”
The campaign targeted 1 billion votes across the globe, and the results will be presented to world leaders at the Global Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen 2009. This meeting will determine official government policies to take action against global warming, which will replace the Kyoto Protocol. It’s the chance for us to make our voice heard.
What can you do?
These are a few simple things that we all can do to show our support:
- Turn off the lights in our own homes for 1 hour on 28 March 2009, 8.30pm until 9.30pm
- Spread the word to our families and friends. (Write a blog, email a friend or twitter VOTE EARTH)
- Signing-up at the Earth Hour website: http://earthhour.org.my/
Let us together make a difference. Show the world Malaysians are United!
Another Dilemma..
Coincidently, I got to attend a wedding invitation on 28 MAC 2009, 8.30pm. Errr… What should I do?
